About SOF IMO
The SOF International Mathematics Olympiad is one of the most widely taken school maths olympiads in India. It is written in the child's own school, and the paper rewards reasoning and application rather than rote textbook answers.

Levels & Rounds
Level 1
Open to every registered student from Class 1 to 12, held in school on the date the school chooses.
Level 2
For the class-wise top performers of Level 1, from Class 3 upwards. Classes 1 and 2 have only Level 1.
Sections in the paper
- Logical Reasoning: patterns, series, coding-decoding, direction and figure puzzles
- Mathematical Reasoning: the class syllabus, asked as reasoning questions
- Everyday Mathematics: maths used in real situations: money, time, measurement, data
- Achievers Section: fewer, harder questions carrying higher marks
- Classes 5 to 10 get a 50-question paper; Classes 1 to 4 get a shorter one
Awards
SOF gives international, zonal and school-level awards: cash prizes, medals and certificates.

SOF IMO FAQs
Can my child register for SOF IMO directly?
SOF registers students through their schools. If your school is not registered, please ask the school to register with SOF; we prepare the child either way.
Is there a Level 2 for Class 1 and 2?
No. As per SOF, Level 2 is held for Classes 3 to 12. Class 1 and 2 students write Level 1 only.
Which classes do you prepare for SOF IMO?
We prepare students of Class 1 to 10, in class-wise live online batches. SOF IMO is open to classes 1 to 12 as per the organiser.
